I've been fortunate enough to have lived a life in the arts.  I almost typed the word "career" there but a drab, work-a-day term such as that doesn't even begin to express the joyfulness to be found in such an existence.  It hasn't always been easy of course but it has been wildly fun as I have been one of the fortunate few able to simultaneously live in the worlds of visual art and music.  I am then, perhaps, at my happiest sitting, pencil and paper in hand, at the very centre of an orchestra in full flow.  Or perhaps sitting atop a cliff painting in a gale.  Whichever or whatever, the answer to happiness for me is found in the rhythms and marks at the point of a pencil.  Bring me life, bring me happiness, bring me the music.
